Obituary of Robert C. Bucci

Robert Charles Bucci, born in 1935, embarked on his final journey on December 19, 2023 leaving behind a rich tapestry of love, dedication and cherished memories that will forever resonate in our hearts. As a devoted husband, Robert shared 65 remarkable years of marriage with his beloved JoAnn Bucci, embodying unwavering commitment and partnership. His role as a father to Joseph Bucci (married to Jeanne Sherwin) Mary Ellen Bucci (married to James Tarvin) and Christopher Bucci was marked by guidance and unwavering support, instilling in them values reflective of his compassionate spirit. Robert's profound faith in the Catholic tradition was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and decisions. Graduating from Holy Cross College in 1958 laid the groundwork for a life characterized by academic excellence, furthered by obtaining a Masters Degree from Assumption College. In service to is country, Robert served with distinction a Captain in the US National Guard and Army Reserves embodying bravery and loyalty in every capacity. His passion for the maritime world was evident in his instrumental role as Commodore for the Platinum Point Yacht Club in Burnt Store, Punta Gorda, Florida. He spearheaded pivotal events, including the creation of the Progressive Dinner, the Blessing of the Fleet and the expansion of Yacht Club's space, including the addition of a captivating dance floor. Roberts influence extended beyond his immediate family, embracing his cherished grandchildren, Sam Tarvin and Kai Perrone, whom he held dear to his heart. In celebrating Robert's life we honor a man of unwavering integrity, compassion and steadfast faith-a guiding light to all privileged to have known him. His legacy resides in the memories he crafted, the lives he touched, and the values he imparted. A service to commemorate Robert's life will be held at the Linkside Cafe at Burnt Store Marina on Thursday February 1st 2024 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made the charity of your choice in honor of his memory.
