Obituary of William "Andy" Frost

William Andrew (Andy) Frost passed peacefully on 1/22/2023 in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was born May 21, 1956, in Dallas Texas, the son of Wilbur (Bill) and Frances Frost. He is survived by his mother Frances Frost, sister Helen Frost Cochran and her husband Mike, brother Glenn Frost and his wife Donna, four nieces and one nephew, many cousins and dear friends. Andy grew up in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Palmetto High School. After which he enlisted in the US army and served overseas in Korea. After the service Andy lived in West Palm Beach, Florida and eventually moved to Port Charlotte where he established his home of many years. “Andy’s Fish Camp” was a popular gathering place for all of his many friends and family. Andy was legendary for throwing a great party and serving amazing meals. Whether it was a turkey on the grill, conch fritters, or beef tenderloin it was always wonderful. Of course, he always had a good story or two to entertain the many visitors who sat at his bar. He was a great lover of boxers and always had at least one or more most of his adult life. Andy worked with boats and motors his whole life. He established Frost Marine and was well known for building boats of his own design or to a customer’s specifications. Andy was a member of multiple boat clubs and participated in many high-speed boat races throughout his life. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday February 18, 2023, at 2:30pm at First Presbyterian Church. 25250 Airport Road Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
