Obituary of Anthony Bacchi
Anthony C. Bacchi passed away on 6/8/22 of complications of Leukemia.
He was born in Queens NY on 8/7/56 to Antonio & Lydia Bacchi (Stornello)
He graduated from Nyack High School class of 1975. He was a baker for
Pathmark Supermarkets/A & P/Acme Markets until retirement 2021. He took
pride in his Handyman Service business as well. ( Worked 2 jobs his whole life.)
He had a passion for classic muscle cars and had just purchased 1970 bright yellow
T top Corvette. His dream car. He moved to Punta Gorda, FL on retirement. His favorite
saying was: “Another beautiful day in Florida”. Tony made friends easily and loved being with people. He was a happy, caring person and loved his family and friends with all his heart.
Tony will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife, Eileen, daughter
Lydia McKay /Jared of Wilmington NC, sister Linda Hauser of Gastonia, NC, step daughter, Kristin DeGilio of Punta Gorda, FL, step son, Michael DeGilio of Greenville, SC, his brothers Charles and Joseph of Texas, 3 grandchildren, TJ, Riley & Avery who were the apple of his eye, his beloved Aunt Tina Duca of Hicksville, NY, his favorite cousin Sal Alfano and wife, Lynne of Huntington, NY and all of his much loved family on Long Island, NY. Sister-in law Barbara Thornton of Nyack, NY. Tony had an endless list of life long friends in Nyack, NY, Manahawkin, NJ, and Punta Gorda FL and elsewhere who will miss him dearly. He was pre-
deceased by his parents and his beloved Aunt Margie and Uncle John Alfano of Long Island, NY
