Obituary of Judith Ann Daugherty

Judith Ann Daugherty, 77, of Englewood, Florida passed away on August 14th, 2021. She was the daughter of Robert and Louise Brennan, and was born into this world January 9th, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Judy was truly loved and joins her beloved husband Robert Dennis Daugherty, and her mother and father in heaven. Judy was the second oldest of the six Brennan family children, all of who mourn their sister’s passing: sisters Mary, Patricia, Susan, and Ann; and brother Patrick. Growing up in Ohio, she learned the value of hard work, dedication, and loyalty from both of her parents as well as her many aunts and uncles. Both Judy and her husband Bob proudly attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and began to start a family. Seeking out a life of opportunity for themselves, they moved to sunny Florida, and continued raising their family. Having called Englewood home since 1976, Judy had the opportunity to make many wonderful friendships while working alongside her husband Bob in both real estate and retail establishments. She was a model of patience, trust and devotion to her three surviving children: daughter Amy Lynn Beaver (wife of David Beaver); son Shawn O Daugherty (husband to Margaret); and youngest daughter Shannon Marie Daugherty. Judy whole-heartedly loved and cherished her grandsons Ethan Beaver and Ryan Harvey, as well as her nieces and nephews. She will forever be an angel sitting on all of our shoulders and be there to guide us in spirit as she did in life. Memorial services will be held on August 27th at 12 pm at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in Punta Gorda, Florida. We would like to encourage that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as they, like Judy, cared so much for all children.
