Obituary of Frank Henry Kyre, Sr.

Frank Henry Kyre, Sr., 87 of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2021. Born on April 15, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Selma (nee Finitzer) Kyre, Frank was one of 6 children. After graduating from Eastern High School, Frank remained in Detroit and went on to work for Carboloy/GE and Keller Cutting Tool. He and his family relocated to sunny Florida in 1979 and Frank worked at Medical Center Hospital in Punta Gorda until his retirement. Frank was a devoted member of Calvary Assembly of God and enjoyed his time playing church league softball. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings and is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Audrey Joann (nee Lutz) Kyre; cherished children, Susan (Donald) Lewis, Sherill (George) Emery, Sandra (Joel) Johnson and Frank Kyre, Jr.; 13 treasured grandchildren and 5 precious great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Assembly of God, 3279 Sherwood Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Pastor Daniel Kolenda, Jr. will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the morning, at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. This will be for the family of Frank.
