Obituary of Lowell Adams

Lowell P. Adams, 87, of Punta Gorda went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was born in Kearny, NJ. in 1925 and moved to Miami, FL. in 1935. He served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific throughout WWII. He retired from Southern Bell as a construction supervisor, where he worked for 37 years. In 1983, he moved to Punta Gorda where he was a member and Deacon Emeritus of First Baptist Church. Lowell truly loved his church and his church family. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lucille and his two sons Terry and Lowell Alan. He is also survived by grandson Jason (Julie) Adams, granddaughter Karen Johnson, a great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons. He also leaves behind his "bro", Robert (Helen) Adams and many nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Visitation will be Friday, July 6 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a short service at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indians Springs Cemetery Rd, Punta Gorda. Mausoleum entombment with military honors will follow in Charlotte Memorial's Tranquility Hall.
